The amphitheatre making the southern end of Table Mountain is called Orange Kloof. It is covered in indigenous forest, with many steep ravines and gorges, rivers and waterfalls, making this one of the wildest parts of the mountain. To maintain this environment, permits issued by the National Park Service are required to hike Orange Kloof.

If you’d like to hike here, booking weeks to months in advance, with flexible dates, gives the best chance of securing a permit. Alternatively, keep an eye on our social media for advertised hikes here when we get a permit, especially between January to March for the Red Disa orchid season.

Once we have a permit, there are multiple route options for beginners to advanced hikers with different levels of adventure for everyone.
